Warm bread pudding rich with cinnamon and nutmeg, ideal for any sweet occasion.

# Ingredients List:

→ Bread

01 - 1 loaf French bread, 16 oz

→ Custard

02 - 5 large eggs
03 - 1 cup granulated sugar
04 - 1.5 cups whole milk
05 - 1.5 cups heavy cream
06 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
07 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
08 - 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg

→ Sauce

09 - 1 cup heavy cream
10 - 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
11 - 0.5 cup granulated sugar
12 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
13 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
02 - Slice French bread into 1 to 2 inch cubes and place in a large mixing bowl.
03 - Whisk together eggs, granulated sugar, whole milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg until smooth and combined.
04 - Pour custard mixture over bread cubes and stir gently to coat evenly. Let sit for 20 minutes to absorb flavors.
05 - Transfer soaked bread to prepared baking dish. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, until the center is set and a knife inserted comes out clean.
06 - In a saucepan, whisk together sugar, flour, and heavy cream until smooth. Place over medium heat, add butter, and heat until butter melts and mixture begins to boil.
07 - Whisk continuously until sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Serve warm alongside the bread pudding.

# Extra Information:

01 - Allow the bread to soak thoroughly for a moist, custardy texture. Use day-old bread for best absorption.
