→ Cream Cheese Frosting

11 - 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
12 - 3 ounces cream cheese
13 - 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
14 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
15 - Food coloring, as desired
16 - Sprinkles, for garnish

# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
02 - Whisk brown sugar and granulated sugar together with melted butter until smooth.
03 - Incorporate egg and vanilla extract, whisking until well blended.
04 - Sift in all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; gently fold until a dough forms.
05 - Roll the dough into balls of approximately 1.7 ounces (50 grams) each. Place on baking tray and refrigerate for 1 hour.
06 - Ensure dough balls are well spaced on the tray, then bake in preheated oven for 12 minutes. Cool cookies completely before decorating.
07 - Whisk softened butter, cream cheese, and confectioners’ sugar together for about 5 minutes. Add vanilla extract and continue mixing until smooth. Mix in food coloring as desired.
08 - Pipe the cream cheese frosting onto the cooled cookies. Garnish with sprinkles as desired.

# Extra Information:

01 - For a smoother icing, ensure the butter and cream cheese are fully softened before mixing.
02 - Chilling the dough prevents excess spreading during baking, yielding a thick, soft texture.
