02 - 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
03 - 1 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
04 - 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (optional)
05 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
07 - Salt, to taste
08 - Black pepper, to taste

→ Assembly

09 - 4 slices provolone cheese
10 - 4 hoagie rolls
11 - Olive oil, for cooking

# How to Make It:

01 - Drizzle olive oil in a large skillet and heat over medium-high setting.
02 - Add sliced onions and bell pepper to the skillet. Sauté for 3 to 5 minutes until softened. If including mushrooms, add and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
03 - Push vegetables to one side of the pan. Add ground beef, breaking it up and cooking until browned with no pink remaining, about 5 to 7 minutes.
04 - Incorporate garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly and cook for 2 minutes.
05 - Lower the heat. Place a slice of provolone cheese over the surface of the beef mixture. Cover and allow to melt for 2 to 3 minutes.
06 - Slice hoagie rolls lengthwise without cutting completely through.
07 - Evenly distribute the cheese-topped beef and vegetable mixture into each roll.
08 - Optionally toast the rolls for added texture and serve the sandwiches hot.

# Extra Information:

01 - Toasting the hoagie rolls imparts extra crunch and better holds the fillings.
