Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally to yield 4 steaks. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

Place flour in a shallow dish. Dredge each chicken piece in flour and shake off excess.

In a large skillet, melt most of the butter over high heat, reserving about 1 tsp for later. Add chicken and cook 2-3 minutes until golden, then flip and cook another minute.

Reduce heat to medium-high. Create space in the pan, add minced garlic and remaining butter. Stir garlic briefly until fragrant and butter melts.

Pour in apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, and honey. Stir or gently shake the pan to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 1 minute or until slightly thickened.

Turn chicken pieces to coat evenly with the sauce. If sauce becomes too thick, add a splash of water and stir.

Remove skillet from heat. Plate the chicken and drizzle with remaining sauce.
